Producer Introduction

An acclaimed architect known for integrating light and spatial intervals (“ma”) into diverse projects, ranging from commercial facilities and residences to pavilions, earning high praise both in Japan and abroad.

Born in Tokyo in 1975. Worked at Jun Aoki & Associates from 1998 to 2002. Established Yuko Nagayama & Associates in 2002.
Visiting Professor at Musashino Art University from 2020 to 2024. Vice Chair of the Good Design Award Selection Committee since 2023. Major works include “LOUIS VUITTON Daimaru Kyoto Store,” “Toyoshima Yokoo Museum,” “Megami no Mori Central Garden,” and “Japan Pavilion at Dubai World Expo.”
Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, Osaka-Kansai Expo Women's Pavilion, Panasonic Group Pavilion Nomokuni, etc. JIA Newcomer Award (2014), Yamanashi Prefecture Architecture Culture Award, Tokyo Architecture Award Excellence Award (2018), Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan Lighting Design Award Grand Prize (2021), World Architecture Festival Highly Commended (2022), etc. Currently, plans for the Torch Tower and other projects are underway.
